West Sumatra’s FFB reference price for palms aged 10–20 years fell IDR55.44/kg from the previous period, with the K Index set at 94.34%.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG — The reference price for fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from oil palm smallholders in West Sumatra fell for the fourth pricing period of September 2026, with the price for palms aged 10–20 years set at IDR3,987.27 per kg.
The price was down IDR55.44 per kg from IDR4,042.71 per kg in the previous period.

The new price applies from Sept. 22 to 30, 2026, following a meeting of the West Sumatra Oil Palm FFB Pricing Committee on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
According to the minutes issued by the West Sumatra Agriculture, Food Crops and Horticulture Agency, the FFB price was determined according to plantation age using a K Index of 94.34%.
The pricing schedule covers oil palm plantations ranging from three to 25 years old.

CPO and Palm Kernel Prices Used in Calculation
For the fourth pricing period of September, the CPO price used as one of the components in the FFB pricing formula was set at IDR15,501.24 per kg.
The palm kernel price was set at IDR13,680 per kg, while the palm shell price used in the calculation was recorded at IDR15.63 per kg.

Based on the provincial pricing formula, the highest FFB reference price for Sept. 22–30 was IDR3,987.27 per kg for palms aged 10–20 years.
The agency also stated that the FFB price for the first pricing period of October 2026, covering Oct. 1–7, is scheduled to be determined on Friday, Oct. 2.
