PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) has officially conducted the handover of decrees (Surat Keputusan or SK) from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and PT Danantara Asset Management concerning the appointment and dismissal of board members and commissioners. This move is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to transform into a more adaptive and robust national agribusiness holding.

The handover ceremony was led by President Director Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Agus Sutomo, S.E., and President Commissioner Lt. Gen. (Ret.) R. Wisnoe Prasetja Boedi. The event also included the official appointment of the new Head of the Regional Office in Riau, attended by members of the management and company staff.

In his remarks, Agus Sutomo expressed appreciation to former officials who played a significant role in guiding the company through its transition from PT Indra Karya to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).

Former executives recognized for their contributions include Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dr. Bachtiar Utomo and Prof. Dr. Edi Slamet Irianto.

The new leadership team introduced consists of:

  • Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Meris Wiryadi – Independent Commissioner
  • Kusdi Sastro Kidjan, S.E., M.M. – Deputy President Director
  • Memed Kosasih Setia Putra – Director of Human Resources and General Affairs
  • Teddy J. Simatupang – Director of Research, Development, and Sustainability
  • Ir. Zulham Syakwan Koto, M.B.A. – Director of Business and Commercial Affairs
  • Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Irwansyah – Head of Regional Office, Riau

Additionally, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Cucu Somantri, formerly Director of Plantations, has been appointed as Director of Legal and Compliance.

The restructuring at the regional level is also part of the company’s strategy to accelerate the execution of work programs and achieve operational targets across its areas of operation.

These organizational changes are a continuation of internal consolidation efforts following the company’s transformation into a state-owned agribusiness entity. Agrinas Palma Nusantara is now entrusted with the mission to accelerate the development of national plantation and food industries, optimize the management of state assets, and improve the welfare of communities surrounding its operational areas.

Agus Sutomo emphasized that this leadership refresh reflects the government’s commitment—particularly from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises—to promote professional, adaptive, and results-oriented corporate governance.

“With this new leadership lineup, we are confident Agrinas Palma Nusantara will move faster, with sharper focus, and greater impact,” he said.

He also underlined the importance of strong collaboration between central and regional teams, as well as transparency in carrying out the company’s public mandate.

With this new management structure, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) is entering a new phase in its pursuit of national food sovereignty and value creation through professional and sustainable plantation governance. (P3)
