PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The tender price for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose to Rp 11,999/kg on Thursday (13/2/2024), marking an increase of Rp 219/kg or approximately 1.86% from the previous Tuesday’s tender, which stood at Rp 11,780/kg.
According to Palmoilmagazine.com, the prices of CPO varied across different locations. In Belawan, CPO was quoted at Rp 11,999/kg, while in Dumai it was also Rp 11,999/kg. However, in Dumai’s withdrawal (WD) process, the highest bid reached Rp 11,875/kg. Meanwhile, in Talang Duku, CPO was priced at Rp 11,799/kg, with the WD bid reaching up to Rp 11,675/kg.
As for Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO), the price in Lampung was reported at Rp 12,332/kg, but in WD, the highest bid dropped significantly to Rp 7,300/kg. In Palembang, CPKO was priced at Rp 12,189/kg, but the WD bid was notably higher at Rp 12,830/kg. In Dumai, CPKO stood at Rp 12,553/kg.
CPO price at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got cheaper on Thursday (15/2/2024) because of the cheaper soyoil at Chicago Board of Trade, the decreasing exports and crude oil correction price.
As quoted from Reuters, CPO reference contract price with the code FCPOc3 for April 2024 delivery at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got cheaper RM 20 per ton or about 0,51% to be RM 3.928 (US$ 822,45) per ton in the midday after it got increased more than 1% on Wednesday (14/2/2024).
