South Sumatra’s regulated fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for plasma smallholders reached IDR 3,541.39 per kilogram for 10–20-year-old oil palms during the second October 2026 pricing period, supported by a K index of 92.17%.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PALEMBANG — The regulated fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for oil palm plasma smallholders in South Sumatra was set at IDR 3,541.39 per kilogram (kg) for palms aged 10–20 years during the second October 2026 pricing period, covering Oct. 16–31.
The price determination was approved during a meeting of the South Sumatra FFB Purchase Price Determination Team at the South Sumatra Plantation Agency on Oct. 19, 2026.

The average crude palm oil (CPO) price used in the calculation was set at IDR 14,324.39/kg, while the palm kernel price reached IDR 12,150.16/kg.
The K index was set at 92.17%, with the shell value recorded at IDR 14.59/kg.

The regulated FFB prices for plasma smallholders across plantation-age categories were:

The highest FFB price in the latest schedule was IDR 3,541.39/kg for palms aged 10–20 years.
The pricing schedule also shows relatively high prices for older palms, including IDR 3,538.05/kg for 22-year-old palms and IDR 3,530.86/kg for 21-year-old palms.
South Sumatra Independent Smallholder FFB Prices
The pricing team also established FFB prices for independent smallholders based on the percentage composition of tenera and dura fruit.
For crops consisting of 100% tenera and 0% dura, the FFB price was set at IDR 3,249.61/kg.

The pricing schedule shows a gradual decline in FFB value as the proportion of dura increases.
The next South Sumatra FFB pricing meeting, covering the first November 2026 period, is scheduled for Nov. 9, 2026. The resulting price determination will undergo a clarification process before being formally validated in accordance with applicable regulations. (P2)
