Riau’s regulated fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for independent smallholders reached IDR 3,679.40 per kilogram for nine-year-old oil palms during the Oct. 21–27, 2026 pricing period, based on a weighted average CPO price of IDR 14,836.06/kg and a K index of 93.76%.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU — The regulated fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau Province was set at IDR 3,679.40 per kilogram (kg) for nine-year-old palms during the Oct. 21–27, 2026 pricing period.
The price was the highest among all plantation-age categories under the latest weekly determination.

The decision, issued under No. 39/TPH TBS-X/2026, took effect from Oct. 21 through Oct. 27, 2026, following a meeting of the Riau FFB Pricing Team on Oct. 20.
According to the pricing record, the weighted average crude palm oil (CPO) price for sales during Oct. 12–18 was IDR 14,836.06/kg, while the weighted average palm kernel price reached IDR 13,103/kg.
The K index was set at 93.76%, while the shell value was recorded at IDR 21.49/kg. These components formed the basis for calculating FFB prices according to plantation age.

The latest pricing schedule shows the highest FFB price at IDR 3,679.40/kg for nine-year-old palms. The price for palms aged 10–20 years was set at IDR 3,640.55/kg.
The FFB pricing mechanism for independent smallholders follows Ministry of Agriculture Regulation No. 13 of 2024 concerning the purchase of FFB produced by partner smallholders.
The Riau FFB Pricing Team’s decision serves as a reference for transactions involving FFB produced by independent smallholders partnering with plantation companies in the province.
The calculation also takes into account the value of palm shells under Riau Governor Regulation No. 77 of 2020, which governs the procedure for determining FFB purchase prices for smallholder-produced oil palm in Riau. (P3)
