PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid recorded at IDR 13,712/kg on Thursday (Jan 16, 2025). This marked a decrease of 1.22% or approximately IDR 169/kg compared to Wednesday’s (Jan 14, 2025) highest bid of IDR 13,881/kg.

According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, the CPO price at Dumai price was set at IDR 13,712/kg. The CPO price at Belawan opened at IDR 13,712/kg but saw a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid reaching IDR 13,681/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian palm oil futures prices plummeted to a three-month low on Thursday (Jan 16, 2025), pressured by weaker prices of other vegetable oils and low exports during the first half of January.

Palm oil futures for April 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange fell by 61 ringgit or 1.43%, closing at 4,207 ringgit ($935.93) per metric ton at midday.

Referring to cargo surveyors Intertek Testing Services and independent inspection firm AmSpec Agri Malaysia, Malaysia’s palm oil product exports during January 1–15 were estimated to decline by 15.5% to 23.7%.

Soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade dropped 0.88%. In Dalian, the most active soybean oil contract fell by 0.72%, while palm oil contracts decreased by 1.81%.
