Independent oil palm smallholders in South Sumatra received up to IDR 3,574.95 per kilogram for fresh fruit bunches with a 100% tenera composition in the first August 2026 pricing period.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PALEMBANG, INDONESIA — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in South Sumatra reached IDR 3,574.95 per kilogram in the first August 2026 pricing period, with the highest price applying to plantations with a 100% tenera composition.
The prices are valid from August 1 to August 15, 2026, following the latest meeting of the South Sumatra Provincial Oil Palm Growers’ FFB Purchase Price Determination Team.

Unlike the plasma smallholder pricing system, FFB prices for independent smallholders are determined based on the composition of tenera and dura planting material.
The calculation was based on an average crude palm oil (CPO) price of IDR 15,347.85/kg and a palm kernel price of IDR 13,928.93/kg. The K index was set at 93.38%, while the shell value was determined at IDR 18.78/kg.

Independent Smallholder FFB Prices
The final FFB prices for independent smallholders in South Sumatra for the first August 2026 period are:
- 100% tenera – 0% dura: IDR 3,574.95/kg
- 90% tenera – 10% dura: IDR 3,554.09/kg
- 80% tenera – 20% dura: IDR 3,531.93/kg
- 70% tenera – 30% dura: IDR 3,511.07/kg
- 60% tenera – 40% dura: IDR 3,490.34/kg
- 50% tenera – 50% dura: IDR 3,469.48/kg
- 40% tenera – 60% dura: IDR 3,447.32/kg

The highest price was set at IDR 3,574.95/kg for FFB produced from plantations with a 100% tenera composition.
Meanwhile, the lowest price of IDR 3,447.32/kg applied to plantations with a composition of 40% tenera and 60% dura.
The South Sumatra Provincial FFB Price Determination Team will hold its next meeting for the second August 2026 pricing period on August 19, 2026. (P3)
