Indonesia’s November CPO reference price fell US$63.25 per metric ton from October, while the government set the export levy at 12.5%, equivalent to US$122.36/MT.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Indonesia has set its Crude Palm Oil (CPO) reference price at US$978.90 per metric ton (MT) for Nov. 1–30, 2026, down US$63.25, or 6.07%, from US$1,042.15/MT in October.
The lower reference price will determine Indonesia’s export-related charges for the month. The government has set the CPO export duty (Bea Keluar/BK) at US$124/MT and the export levy (Pungutan Ekspor/PE) at 12.5% of the reference price, equivalent to US$122.36/MT.
Tommy Andana, Director General of Foreign Trade at Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade, said the export duty and levy were determined in accordance with prevailing Finance Ministry regulations.
“The CPO reference price for November 2026 declined from the October period. Based on the applicable Finance Ministry regulations, the government is imposing a CPO export duty of US$124 per MT and an export levy of 12.5% of the November 2026 CPO reference price, equivalent to US$122.36 per MT,” Tommy said in an official statement.

Malaysia and Indonesia Prices Used to Calculate November Reference
The November CPO reference price was calculated using average prices from three benchmark sources during Sept. 20–Oct. 19, 2026.
The three sources recorded different price levels:
- Indonesia CPO Exchange: US$869.07/MT
- Malaysia CPO Exchange: US$1,088.73/MT
- Rotterdam CPO: US$1,443.90/MT

Under Indonesia’s Trade Ministry Regulation No. 35 of 2025, when the difference between the average prices from the three sources exceeds US$40/MT, the reference price calculation uses the two prices representing the median and the price closest to the median.
As a result, the November calculation used the Malaysia CPO Exchange price of US$1,088.73/MT and the Indonesia CPO Exchange price of US$869.07/MT.
The resulting reference price was set at US$978.90/MT.
