PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Indonesia has set its Crude Palm Oil (CPO) reference price at US$978.90 per metric ton (MT) for Nov. 1–30, 2026, down US$63.25, or 6.07%, from US$1,042.15/MT in October.

Malaysia and Indonesia Prices Used to Calculate November Reference

The November CPO reference price was calculated using average prices from three benchmark sources during Sept. 20–Oct. 19, 2026.

The three sources recorded different price levels:

  • Indonesia CPO Exchange: US$869.07/MT
  • Malaysia CPO Exchange: US$1,088.73/MT
  • Rotterdam CPO: US$1,443.90/MT

Under Indonesia’s Trade Ministry Regulation No. 35 of 2025, when the difference between the average prices from the three sources exceeds US$40/MT, the reference price calculation uses the two prices representing the median and the price closest to the median.

As a result, the November calculation used the Malaysia CPO Exchange price of US$1,088.73/MT and the Indonesia CPO Exchange price of US$869.07/MT.

The resulting reference price was set at US$978.90/MT.

The decline in the November CPO reference price marks a significant change in Indonesia’s export pricing benchmark and will directly influence the export charges applied to palm oil shipments during the month. (P3)
