In front of many delegates attending the Indonesia Sustainability Forum, Luhut again emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to solving the poverty agenda.

Luhut thought, as many have known, Indonesia is committed to realize net zero in 2060 but in decarbonization era and partnership experiences, he realized that every country has different (perspective). That is why we have to cooperate according to mutual respect and trust one to another.
“As a country that has significant economy and geopolitics in the world with gross domestic product for more than US$ 1 trillioin and 280 citizens, Indonesia has the good position to reinforce partnership in the globe,” he said, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the official facebook of Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Thursday (7/9/2023).
He continued that Indonesia has also natural biodiversity, such as, 94 million hectares of tropical forests, more than 3.600 Gigawatt of potential renewable energy, and abundant mineral resources to get new renewable energy transition.
He hoped that the dialogue in Indonesia Sustainability Forum would get sustainable solution that enable developing countries to keep developing as same as their ways to get industrialization.
“Let’s do something as soon as possible. Not only sitting still or talking but also delivering real action to the future better sustainability in the world for our grandchildren,” Luhut said.
