Bhakti highlighted the pivotal role of palm oil as a primary commodity supporting the plantation sub-sector in Indonesia, significantly contributing to the national economy. Additionally, palm oil serves as a significant source of employment, providing opportunities for 16.2 million direct and indirect workers, while also contributing to renewable energy independence through biodiesel production.

The regulation should be the base to get more environmental governance. But Satya Bhakti acknowledge that palm oil plantation and industrial governance was not fully finished though RAN KSB would come to an end in 2024.

“That is why it needs strategies and same commitment to confirm sustainability in realizing the policy,” he said, as quoted from the official page of Cabinet Secretariat, Friday (2/2/2024).

It is hoped the results of discussion series would be reinforcing recommendation formulation about RAN KSB implementation solution in 2019-2024 and to maintain RAN KSB sustainability in the future.

He also appreciated the inputs from many speakers and active participation in the FGD to get precision policy recommendation to answer every issue in RAN KSB implementation. (T2)
