IPS Re-Elects Chairman Jamalul and Plans Organizational Restructuring for Future Challenges

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Planters Society (IPS) successfully held its national meeting from August 8-11, 2024, in Jakarta, where Jamalul was re-elected as IPS Chairman for the 2024-2027 term. The meeting brought together central and regional IPS board members to discuss the organization’s future in the face of increasingly complex challenges.

Jamalul emphasized the importance of restructuring the organization to better navigate these challenges. “Given the more complex issues ahead, I will ensure that our leadership team is more well-rounded,” he told Palmoilmagazine.com on Friday, August 16, 2024.

He also outlined plans to include experts from various essential disciplines within the plantation industry, such as agronomy, milling, accounting, and finance, in the new organizational structure.

He believed by having complete structures in the organization, IPS would be capable to deliver every available challenge, developing as the better and more competitive organization. “We hope that the better and more complete structure, IPS would develop fast heading to the world – class plantation organization,” Jamalul said.

The meeting would be the new start for the organization to keep being as the leader in plantation industries, not only in Indonesia but also in the globe. (P2)
