PALMOILMAGAZINE, NUSA DUA – Deputy II for Food and Agribusiness Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Dida Gardera, emphasized the need for policy and strategic transformations to boost the palm oil industry. He made this statement during the 2024 Pekan Riset Sawit Indonesia (PERISAI) event. The discussions highlighted various government initiatives aimed at strengthening a sustainable and resilient palm oil industry on a global scale.
Dida stressed the importance of collaboration between the government, industry, and research institutions to enhance the sector’s competitiveness and to develop innovations that would provide long-term benefits.
Putu Juli Ardika, Director General of Agro Industry at the Ministry of Industry, also attended the event and underscored the government’s commitment to supporting the development of sustainable palm oil industries. “The government is dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote sustainability from both environmental and economic perspectives through proper regulations and policies,” Putu said, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Chairman of the Indonesian Investors Association, Didiek Hadjar Goenadi, expressed appreciation for PERISAI 2024 and the efforts of the government and the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (POPFMA). He noted that palm oil is poised to remain a leading global commodity, and the annual research funded by POPFMA plays a vital role in helping the industry overcome various challenges.
“The research that PO PFMA conducted, would be very significant for the industries and the government. The technology results should be immediately commercialized to reinforce the position of national scale – industries in the world,” Didiek said.
PERISAI 2024 that many stakeholders attended, should get the new breakthroughs to support the transformation in palm oil industries to be more sustainable and competitive in the globe. (P2)
