PALMOILMAGAZINE, KUALA LUMPUR –  Malaysia is preparing to meet the rising demand for palm oil in India through a strategic partnership with Emami Agrotech Ltd., one of the country’s largest palm oil importers.

Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, stated that this collaboration will help reinforce Malaysia’s position in the global vegetable oil trade.

As Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from The Sun, recent discussions between Minister Zafrul and Emami Agrotech’s Executive Director, Manush Goenka, focused on expanding palm oil exports from Malaysia. Emami Agrotech, a major producer of palm cooking oil and food products in India, stands to benefit significantly from increased imports, leading to mutual gains.

“India is the biggest vegetable oil imports in the world and 59 of them consisted of palm oil,” Tengku Zafrul uploaded his words in platform X. The statement meant that India would be strategic country for Malaysia in palm oil industries.

The cooperation with Emami Agrotech should reinforce not only trade relationship between Malaysia and India but also confirm that palm oil supply would be stable to fulfill the increasing needs in India. (P2)
