PTPN IV PalmCo Region III Targets 592,000 Tons of CPO in 2024 with E-Tekpol Application

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU – Palm oil plantation enterprise PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV PalmCo Region III, operating in Riau Province, has set a target of producing 592,000 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) in 2024, leveraging the E-Tekpol application.

“As part of PTPN IV PalmCo, we are committed to significantly boosting ‘off-farm’ production through digital approaches. Alhamdulillah, E-Tekpol was officially implemented this year, and Insya Allah, it will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our future production,” stated Rurianto, Region Head of PTPN IV Regional III, in Pekanbaru, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com from Antara on Wednesday, (June 12, 2024).

Over the past three years, PTPN IV PalmCo has consistently improved its CPO production performance. In 2023, the company produced 583,000 tons of CPO, up from 578,000 tons in the previous year and 574,794 tons in 2021. Additionally, the company aims to achieve a CPO productivity rate of 5.67 tons per hectare in 2024, surpassing the 5.6 tons per hectare recorded in the previous year.

In the implementation, Rurianto also mentioned that E-Tekpol would be used to monitor CPO and palm kernel oil (PKO) production in real time and up to date. The application has features to monitor CPO stocks in each mill, yield report, shell stocks as the side products, and track down CPO transportation in real time too.

“Every data would be reported in real time in the form of table and graphic and we would evaluate each day as the way to escalate production,” he said.

Rurianto, that graduated from Faculty of Economy, Universitas Riau also said that E-Tekpol would be integrated with some applications that PTPN IV Region III took advantages in off-farm. Prior, the company used PKS Online, Millena, Intank, Fleet Management, SiMoli, and others.

But he confirmed that the latest system got some additional features, such as, automation or data process automatically and data showed would be more comprehensive than the previous application. (T2)
