Suherman highlighted the potential of the regency’s palm oil production, noting that while some harvests currently need to be transported to other regions, this new innovation will allow for local processing. “With this innovation, we can process palm oil seeds locally into cooking oil, meeting the needs of our villages,” he added.

The cooperation was realized through the research fund that the Regency of Sanggau provided through the Regional Development Plan Agency and the research and development technology from the University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak.

“This contributed massively. In the future, if it is efficiently proved, we hope to escalate the economic value and welfare the locals,” Suherman said.

He also hoped every village in the regency would get one mini palm oil machine to maximize the advantages. “The machine in Village EnteIDRrises would significantly qualify palm cooking oil needs locally,” he said. (P2)
