PALMOILMAGAZINE, MUKOMUKO – The Agriculture Agency in the District of Mukomuko, Bengkulu Province, revealed that eight smallholders’ groups have submitted proposals for the Smallholder Replanting Programme (SRP) due to unproductive trees resulting from the use of counterfeit seeds and aging plants. The affected plantations cover an area of approximately 1.644 hectares.
Iwan Cahaya, the Head of Plantation at the Agriculture Agency in the District of Mukomuko, mentioned that the combined SRP proposals from the eight groups exceed the agency’s target for 2024. This year, the SRP target was set at around 1,000 hectares.
“Of the eight groups, two have been in verification process about area data while the six just prepared documents and were not verified yet,” Iwan said, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from Antara.

He also told the two groups are KRP Sungai Barau in Village of Lubuk Bangko, Sub district of Selagan Raya; and Talang Kenidai Village of Pernyah, Sub district of Teramang Jaya. The two got recommendation to get SRP from related National Land Agency about area status of their palm oil plantations.
The next phase would involve area data verification by Balai Pemantapan Kawasan Hutan (BPKH) to confirm if their plantations are developing in forest or non – forest areas.
The eight groups that proposed to get SRP are from many districts, such as, KRP Sungai Barau, Village of Lubuk Bangko, Sub district of Selagan Raya that covered 255 hectares.
Kelompok Tani Talang Kenidai, Village of Pernyah, Sub district of Teramang Jaya that covered 180 hectares; KRP Maju Bersama, Village of Air Merah, Sub district of Malin Deman that covered 385 hectares; KRP Bukit Barisan Village of Gajah Makmur, Sub district of Malin Deman about 192 hectares.
Kelompok Tani Andalas Saiyo, Village of Pondok Lunang, Sub district of Air Dikit about 150 hectares; Kelompok Tani Kanereh Batu Tunggal, Village of Tunggang, Sub district of Pondok Suguh about 189 hectares; Kelompok Tani Sahabat 3T, Village of Talang Kuning, Sub district of Teras Terunjam about 154 hectares; and KRP Tri Karya, Village of Talang Baru, Sub district of Malin Deman about 136 hectares.
