Palmoilmagazine.com, PEKANBARU – The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA), in collaboration with the General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture and Institut Pertanian Bandung (IPB) Training, implemented a human resource development program aimed at optimizing the outcomes of palm oil plantations in Riau Province.
This program specifically focused on delivering training in harvest and post-harvest techniques to smallholders.
Head of Plantation Agency Riau Province, Zulfadli said there were 55 smallholders in the training. 30 smallholders from District of Siak and the rests were from District of Kampar.

“The training was about to integrate every aspect to develop palm oil plantation human resource to escalate their knowledge, skills, professionals, independency, competency, and competition,” he said, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the official page of Riau Province, Thursday (15/6/2023).
On independent smallholder from District of Siak, Muhammad Fahrurrozi said that the training delivered advantages for many of them in Riau did not understand the harvest and post-harvest process well.
“We think the training was incredible because many smallholders did not know harvest and post-harvest process in the field. We did not know the procedure operational standard. We only knew harvest and got money,” Fahrurrozi said. (T2)
