CPO Price at KPBN Inacom Rises 0.98% on Friday (2/8), Weekly Average Up 1.72%

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – On Friday, August 2, 2024, the crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was Rp. 13,105/kg. This represents an increase of Rp 127/kg, or about 0.98%, from Thursday’s tender price of Rp 12,978/kg.

According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN Inacom, the highest CPO prices were located in Belawan and Dumai which reached Rp 13,105/kg.

Meanwhile, for the CPO trading period from July 29 to August 2, 2024, the average CPO tender price at KPBN rose by around Rp 221/kg, to Rp 13,033.80/kg, or an increase of around 1.72% compared to the average price in the previous week (July 22-26, 2024) which amounted to Rp 12,812.80/kg.

As reported by Reuters, CPO contract prices at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose on Friday, August 2, 2024, despite increases in other vegetable oil prices and a stronger ringgit, which limited the upward momentum. However, the contract price has decreased for the second consecutive week.

CPO reference contract price with the code FCPOc3 for October 2024 delivery at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got better RM 31 per ton or about 0,8% to be RM 3.901 (US$ 860,96) per metric ton in the midday. (P2)
