CPO Prices Rise at KPBN Inacom and Malaysia on Monday (21/10)

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – On Monday (21/10/2024), crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom reached Rp 14,020/kg, marking a 0.14% increase or Rp 20/kg from Friday’s (18/10/2024) price of Rp 14,000/kg.

According to information Palmoilmagazine.com received from KPBN Inacom, CPO Franco in Dumai was recorded at Rp 14,020/kg, while in South Kalimantan it was Rp 13,620/kg but was later withdrawn (WD), with the highest bid at Rp 13,010/kg.

As reported by Reuters, CPO contract prices on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose on Monday following two consecutive sessions of decline. The increase was driven by expectations of higher exports and lower palm oil production. The January 2024 CPO contract (FCPOc3) gained RM 49 per ton, or about 1.15%, to RM 4,304 per ton (US$ 1,001.16) by midday. This followed a 1.3% drop over the previous two sessions.

As quoted from the survey by Intertek Testing Services, it was predicted that palm oil exports in Malaysia got increased 8,7% on 1 – 20 October. Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) reported that by the early of this month, CPO production got decreased 3,8% to in September from August, while the exports got escalated 0,93%.

Soyoil contract price at Dalian (DBYcv1) got decreased 0,58%, CPO contract price (DCPcv1) did decrease 0,76% while soyoil price at Chicago Board of Trade (BOcv1) got increased 0,6%.
