PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) offered by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom increased to IDR 13,225/kg on Thursday, June 12, 2025. According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, CPO prices for Franco Belawan and Dumai were both set at IDR 13,225/kg. The Loco Parindu price opened at IDR 12,875/kg but was withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at IDR 12,757/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian CPO futures posted a slight gain at the close of trading on Thursday (June 12) after two consecutive days of decline. The rebound was supported by bargain buying and expectations of a gradual production increase in June.

The benchmark CPO futures contract for August 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by RM1 or 0.03% to RM3,840 per metric ton, equivalent to around USD 910.60.

A Kuala Lumpur-based trader noted that the uptick was driven by projections of slower production growth and improved export prospects due to more competitive pricing. “These factors are helping to support prices amid pressure from rival vegetable oils,” the trader said.

However, the CPO price recovery remained limited by broader weakness in the global vegetable oil market. Active soyoil contracts on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange fell 0.44%, while palm oil contracts dropped 0.22%. In the U.S., soyoil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) declined by 0.58%.
