PALMOILMAGAZINE, MEDAN – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm in North Sumatra edged lower for the July 29–August 4, 2026 pricing period, with the benchmark price for plantations aged 10–20 years declining by IDR 4.47/kg from the previous period to IDR 3,962.27/kg.
The provincial pricing committee also set the reference Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price at IDR 15,497.70/kg, while the palm kernel price was fixed at IDR 14,704.29/kg. The K Index, a key factor in FFB price calculations, remained at 93.76%.
According to data compiled by PalmOilMagazine from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, FFB prices for younger plantations were established at IDR 3,343.86/kg for three-year-old palms, IDR 3,566.04/kg (4 years), IDR 3,688.88/kg (5 years), IDR 3,796.41/kg (6 years), IDR 3,762.60/kg (7 years), and IDR 3,895.84/kg (8 years).

For more mature plantations, nine-year-old palms were priced at IDR 3,930.38/kg, while palms aged 10–20 years received IDR 3,962.27/kg. Prices for older plantations were set at IDR 3,968.27/kg (21 years), IDR 3,932.58/kg (22 years), IDR 3,876.10/kg (23 years), IDR 3,758.25/kg (24 years), and IDR 3,650.13/kg (25 years).
Meanwhile, FFB prices for aging plantations stood at IDR 3,622.00/kg for 26-year-old palms, IDR 3,569.46/kg (27 years), IDR 3,514.02/kg (28 years), IDR 3,457.06/kg (29 years), and IDR 3,400.09/kg for 30-year-old oil palm trees. (P3)
