North Sumatra Palm Oil FFB Prices Rise to IDR 3,925/Kg for July 22–28, 2026 Period

PALMOILMAGAZINE, MEDAN – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm in North Sumatra (Sumut) increased again for the period of July 22–28, 2026. Based on the official price determination by the provincial pricing team, FFB prices for 10–20-year-old oil palm plantations rose by IDR 41.25/kg to IDR 3,925.49/kg.

For the latest pricing period, the reference price for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) was set at IDR 15,563.64/kg, while Palm Kernel (PK) was determined at IDR 14,508.25/kg. The K Index was recorded at 93.76%.

According to data obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, the increase in FFB prices followed movements in CPO prices and its derivative products, which are key components in the regional FFB pricing mechanism.

The officially determined FFB prices in North Sumatra for the period were as follows:

  • 3-year-old palms: IDR 3,345.89/kg
  • 4-year-old palms: IDR 3,568.02/kg
  • 5-year-old palms: IDR 3,691.17/kg
  • 6-year-old palms: IDR 3,799.15/kg
  • 7-year-old palms: IDR 3,766.97/kg
  • 8-year-old palms: IDR 3,899.69/kg
  • 9-year-old palms: IDR 3,934.74/kg
  • 10–20-year-old palms: IDR 3,966.74/kg
  • 21-year-old palms: IDR 3,972.36/kg
  • 22-year-old palms: IDR 3,936.25/kg
  • 23-year-old palms: IDR 3,880.05/kg
  • 24-year-old palms: IDR 3,761.66/kg
  • 25-year-old palms: IDR 3,652.88/kg

For older plantations, the FFB prices were set at:

  • 26-year-old palms: IDR 3,624.46/kg
  • 27-year-old palms: IDR 3,571.63/kg
  • 28-year-old palms: IDR 3,515.88/kg
  • 29-year-old palms: IDR 3,458.58/kg
  • 30-year-old palms: IDR 3,401.27/kg

The increase in North Sumatra’s FFB prices is expected to provide positive support for oil palm farmers’ income, particularly amid ongoing fluctuations in global CPO markets and rising domestic palm oil demand driven by Indonesia’s national biodiesel program. (P3)
