West Sumatra FFB Price Falls to IDR 4,005.47 per Kg in Early September

The benchmark fresh fruit bunch price for 10–20-year-old oil palms in West Sumatra fell to IDR 4,005.47 per kg for September 1–7, 2026, from IDR 4,050.85 per kg in the previous period.

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG — The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from oil palms in West Sumatra declined during the first pricing period of September 2026. For palms aged 10–20 years, the provincial FFB price was set at IDR 4,005.47 per kilogram (kg), down IDR 45.38 per kg from IDR 4,050.85 per kg in the previous period.

According to PalmOilMagazine, the price was determined at a meeting of the West Sumatra FFB Pricing Team on September 3, 2026. The meeting was held at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Rasuna Said No. 77 in Padang.

Based on the official pricing report, FFB prices are determined according to palm age and apply to village unit cooperatives (koperasi unit desa/KUD) partnering with the relevant parties in West Sumatra.

The pricing formula for the period used a crude palm oil (CPO) price of IDR 15,623.61 per kg, while the palm kernel price was set at IDR 13,375 per kg.

The FFB Pricing Team applied an Index K of 94.54% in calculating the FFB price. The shell price was set at IDR 17.30 per kg.

As a result, the FFB price for 10–20-year-old palms declined by IDR 45.38 per kg, from IDR 4,050.85 per kg in the previous period to IDR 4,005.47 per kg for September 1–7.

The decline reflects adjustments in CPO and palm kernel prices as well as other components incorporated into West Sumatra’s provincial FFB pricing formula.

The West Sumatra FFB Pricing Team is scheduled to determine the price for the second September 2026 period, covering September 8–14, at a meeting on Friday (September 11, 2026). (P3)
