West Sumatra Palm Oil FFB Prices Rise IDR 108.52/Kg in Late August

Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in West Sumatra rose to IDR 4,050.85/kg for 10–20-year-old palms for the August 22–31, 2026 pricing period, supported by a CPO price of IDR 15,857.50/kg.

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in West Sumatra Province strengthened again during the fourth pricing period of August 2026, covering August 22–31.

For oil palm trees aged 10–20 years, the FFB price was set at IDR 4,050.85/kg, up IDR 108.52/kg from IDR 3,942.33/kg in the previous pricing period.

The new price was established at a meeting of the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Price Determination Team held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The meeting took place at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Rasuna Said No. 77, Padang.

According to the official minutes of the fourth FFB price determination for 2026, prices were set according to the age of the oil palm trees as follows:

  • 3 years: IDR 3,185.15/kg
  • 4 years: IDR 3,364.99/kg
  • 5 years: IDR 3,564.26/kg
  • 6 years: IDR 3,679.88/kg
  • 7 years: IDR 3,821.29/kg
  • 8 years: IDR 3,962.03/kg
  • 9 years: IDR 4,040.23/kg
  • 10–20 years: IDR 4,050.85/kg
  • 21 years: IDR 3,897.09/kg
  • 22 years: IDR 3,890.13/kg
  • 23 years: IDR 3,830.65/kg
  • 24 years: IDR 3,651.10/kg
  • 25 years: IDR 3,608.77/kg

CPO Price Set at IDR 15,857.50/Kg

The price determination was also based on the prevailing prices of palm oil products. The price of crude palm oil (CPO) was set at IDR 15,857.50/kg, while palm kernel prices stood at IDR 13,321.50/kg.

Meanwhile, the price of palm shells was set at IDR 17.30/kg, with a K Index of 94.54% used in calculating the FFB price.

The IDR 4,050.85/kg price for 10–20-year-old palms was the highest FFB price set for the period. The lowest price, meanwhile, applied to three-year-old palms at IDR 3,185.15/kg.

The official minutes also noted that the FFB price for the next period, namely Period I of September 2026, will apply from September 1–7, 2026.

The price is scheduled to be determined at the next meeting of the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Price Determination Team. (P3)
