CPO Prices Rise: KPBN Inacom Sets IDR 15,800/Kg as Malaysia Futures Gain 0.89%

KPBN Inacom raised its CPO price by 0.59% to IDR 15,800/kg on Friday, August 28, while Malaysia palm oil futures gained on higher soybean oil prices and concerns over future production.

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom rose on Friday, August 28, 2026, with the company setting the price at IDR 15,800 per kg.

The latest price was up IDR 92 per kg, or approximately 0.59%, from the highest CPO bid of IDR 15,708 per kg recorded on Thursday, August 27.

According to information obtained by PalmOilMagazine from KPBN, the CPO price on a Franco Dumai basis was set at IDR 15,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, CPO on an FOB Talang Duku basis was opened at IDR 15,550 per kg. The tender was subsequently withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at IDR 15,385 per kg.

At Teluk Bayur, the CPO price was opened at IDR 15,600 per kg before the tender was also withdrawn. The highest bid stood at IDR 15,425 per kg.

Malaysia Palm Oil Futures Gain

CPO futures on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange strengthened again in Friday’s trading, supported by gains in soybean oil prices and concerns over the outlook for palm oil production in the coming period.

According to Reuters, the benchmark CPO contract for November 2026 delivery rose RM43 per metric ton, or 0.89%, to RM4,859 per metric ton at midday.

The firmer soybean oil market provided support for palm oil futures, while concerns over future production added further bullish sentiment to the market. (P3)
