PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Putu Juli Ardika, General Director of Agro-Industry at the Ministry of Trade, highlighted the successful normalization of palm cooking oil (RBD palm oil) production and distribution governance during the 2021-2022 outbreak season.
“The Ministry of Trade implemented the Sistem Informasi Minyak Goreng Curah (SIMIRAH) to oversee the supply, pricing, and materials of palm cooking oil nationwide. This platform facilitated real-time, responsive, and transparent decision-making processes with extensive public participation,” he stated in an official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com on Monday, June 24, 2024.
The Ministry of Trade is currently developing a palm oil roadmap for Indonesia Emas 2045, aiming to achieve sustainable palm oil industries across upstream and downstream sectors by 2045. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of fostering independent, sovereign, equitable, progressive, and inclusive industrial development.
Palm oil is taken as the ready commodity to realize net zero emission in industrial sectors in 2050. Palm oil roadmap for Indonesia Emas 2045 has been led to eliminate carbon emission nationally.
“The main key is about to develop sustainable industry and traceability as the conditions to have palm oil downstream product in the global scale – markets,” Putu said. (P2)
