PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto stated that funds recovered from forest area enforcement operations and dormant bank accounts could be utilized to accelerate improvements to public facilities, including health clinics and schools across Indonesia.
Speaking during the Administrative Fine and Forest Area Handover event monitored by Palmoilmagazine.com on Wednesday (13/5/2026), Prabowo said the government had successfully secured IDR 10.2 trillion from forest area enforcement measures.
According to the President, the government is expected to receive an additional IDR 10 trillion next month through efforts coordinated by the Attorney General’s Office, along with approximately IDR 39 trillion originating from inactive accounts and assets suspected to be linked to criminal activities.

“Next month, we expect around IDR 49 trillion in additional funds. These resources must be returned for the benefit of the people,” Prabowo said.
He stressed that forest area enforcement and state asset recovery are not merely symbolic measures, but concrete actions to safeguard national wealth from corruption and illegal exploitation of natural resources.
Prabowo highlighted the urgent need to renovate around 10,000 public health clinics, or Puskesmas, which he said have not undergone major improvements for decades. Based on reports from the Health Ministry, each clinic requires approximately IDR 2 billion for renovation.

“If we have IDR 10 trillion, we can renovate around 5,000 health clinics. If the additional IDR 49 trillion is secured, then all clinics can be repaired immediately,” he explained.
Beyond the healthcare sector, the government is also accelerating school rehabilitation programs nationwide. Prabowo noted that approximately 17,000 schools were renovated under last year’s state budget, while the target for this year has increased to 70,000 schools.
“Next year, the target is to repair 100,000 schools. After that, madrassas and other educational facilities will also be improved,” he said.

Prabowo emphasized that the recovery of state assets is mandated by Indonesia’s Constitution, which states that natural resources must be controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people.
He also expressed appreciation to the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force, the Attorney General’s Office, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the National Police (Polri), the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) for their efforts in protecting state assets from corruption and illegal control.
According to Prabowo, the effort to recover state losses remains a long-term challenge, as the total potential value of assets that need to be restored could reach hundreds of trillions of rupiah.
