PALMOILMAGAZINE, NORTH ACEH – The North Aceh Plantation Agency recently conducted a socialization event on palm oil profit sharing for independent smallholders at the Seureuke Village Hall in the Langkahan Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency. The event was attended by 60 representatives from five villages: Seureuke, Lubok Pusaka, Buket Linteung, Cotgirek, and Cinta Makmur.
The socialization was officially opened by Ismalinda Pase, Head of Plantation Business Guidance, Marketing, and Process, who represented the Head of the Livestock and Plantation Agency of North Aceh. She emphasized that the agency’s presence aimed to introduce the benefits of palm oil profit sharing to independent smallholders.
The funds from this initiative will be used to gather data on smallholders and provide them with cultivation documents at no cost. This initiative is expected to play a significant role in securing competitive prices for fresh fruit bunch (FFB) trading.

“Cultivation Documents would be like license for a driver. Without having cultivation documents, the smallholders’ FFB would be cheaper because it did not qualify the available regulation,” Ismalinda said before the smallholders, Wednesday (21/8/2024).
Head of Village of Seureuke, Azis Rusmiono in his speech did appreciate Koperasi Berkat Bunga Damai and the agency. He thought the socialization would help escalate the smallholders’ income after getting cultivation documents.
Chairman of Koperasi Berkat Bunga Damai, Abubakar AR thanked that the smallholders that the cooperation developed, would get cultivation documents freely. “We got data about 1.800 hectares within 602 members in five villages. We are ready to be the sustainable pioneers in Indonesia,” he said.
He did appreciate the performance of the agency that could be the faster one in socializing palm oil profit sharing in village level. He thanked the agency for its supports for the smallholders in the regency.
The socialization would be the strategic one to increase competition and smallholders’ welfare in North Aceh, the support of the government to get and realize sustainable palm oil industries. (P2)
