Mochammad Dasrial, Manager of HCV at PT RHS, emphasized the importance of engaging the local community in conserving these areas. Through educational sessions, efforts are made to instill an understanding among the residents about the significance of conservation for both their own well-being and the protection of the area’s wildlife. One tangible action taken involves educating the community on sustainable fishing practices, discouraging the use of toxic substances, electric machinery, and trawling techniques.

Many monitoring and identification done by HCV team of PT RHS in 2019-2023 showed that the conservation areas around Pukun river remained well.
