PALMOILMAGAZINE, SORONG – PT Putera Manunggal Perkasa (PMP) and PT Permata Putera Mandiri (PPM), subsidiaries of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) operating in Sorong Selatan and Maybrat, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Employment Insurance Agency.
The agreement aims to transform the clinics at PMP and PPM into centers for occupational health services for laborers in the region.
The MoU was signed on Thursday, 13 June 2024, at the office of the Employment Insurance Agency in Sorong Regency. Dr. Fajar Jayapria, the Resident Doctor of ANJ in the eastern region and Head of PMP and PPM Clinic, stated that this initiative aims to enhance protection for employees against work-related accidents and diseases.

Designated as centers for work accident services (Pusat Layanan Kecelakaan Kerja – PLKK), the PMP and PPM clinics will provide prompt and effective medical services for any workplace accidents. They will maintain a 24-hour medical team ready to deliver immediate first aid and emergency assistance.
“The clinic would support the workers by having consultation with (some) doctors, further care, administration helps, and adjusted rehabilitation program to facilitate them to get recovered and work again safely,” dr. Fajar said, as in the official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, Friday (28/6/2024).
Meanwhile, Head of Employment Insurance Agency office in Sorong, Nasrullah Umar did welcome the cooperation as the way to escalate health services to every member in employment insurance that might be accident when working. He also emphasized, it would be important to get fast and good access in health services to minimize the negative impacts for the participants in Regency of Sorong Selatan and Maybrat.
The cooperation among PT PMP, PPM, and Employment Insurance Agency would expand health service coverage for the public in Papua Barat Daya Province, not only for the labors in ANJ Group. This would be the same with the commitment to escalate the welfare and safety of every labor and the people around. (T2)
