PALMOILMAGAZINE, KONAWE UTARA – Many planters are actively engaging in multi-party cooperation, exemplified by a multi-dialogue session held on Tuesday (5/3/2024) in Konawe Utara Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.
This gathering saw the participation of numerous stakeholders including smallholders, village heads, local government officials, representatives from central government agencies, palm oil plantation companies, and non-governmental organizations. The objective of the meeting was to formulate regional action plans (RAD – KSB) for the development of sustainable palm oil.
These plans, serving as a follow-up to the national sustainable palm oil action plans (RAN-KSB), are crucial for the implementation of sustainable palm oil practices. Gunawan Eko Movianto, Director in duty of the Regional Government Synchronization General Directorate of Regional Development at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasized the importance of sustainable regional development as a continuation of national initiatives.

“Rencana aksi nasional should be conducted through multi – party action in many regions, such as in the Regency of Konawe Utara,” Gunawan said in his speech.
Besdes, Regent of Konawe Utara, Ruksamin said there were actions in the regions. The needs of sustainable palm oil development should be parts of the work of the country to welfare its people.
“Regency of Konawe Utara initiated palm oil development to harmonize with its sustainable development,” he said.
The policies in RAD-KSB would be the same ways to get sustainable palm oil progress in Indonesia. (T1)
