PALMOILMAGAZINE, PALANGKARAYA – Palm oil exports in January – February 2023 increased compared to the same period in 2022. This showed that palm oil still exists and helps agricultural exports. In its development, palm oil faces many challenges, and the government’s instances keep having commitment and collaboration to reinforce palm oil plantations in Indonesia.
One this to do is by getting self-reporting that every planter should do online through Sistem Informasi Perizinan Perkebunan (Siperibun). It is an application that palm oil taskforce would apply through the planters’ self-reporting.
Ministry of Agriculture keeps encouraging, developing, socializing to every planter to immediately and sustainably to do it. The ministry also socialized it on 6 July 2023 in Palangkaraya.

“Every plantation company is obliged to get self-reporting from 3 July to 3 August 2023 through Sistem Informasi Perizinan Perkebunan (Siperibun). Self-Reporting in Siperibun is significant to integrae every palm oil plantation business nationally, the instrument to control palm oil plantation business, and coordination facilitation among ministry/institution, and regional government,” General Director of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Nur Alam Syah said as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the official page of Ministry of Agriculture.
He also said in this period, self-reporting socialization were in Central Kalimantan and North Sumatera. That is why the planters are hoped to immediately condut it well to be more transparent according to regulation.
Andi Nur explained, the taskforce firmly suggested to get self-reporting for the plantation areas together with permit evidence they have had. In this short palm oil taskforce would do self-reporting process from the corporates (in palm oil).
Siperibun is ready to the report portal and encouraging to improve palm oil plantation governance. Every company/union in palm oil plantation should have account to data management in Siperibun and complete company’s data profile and also permits with supporting documents and spatial map attachment in shapefile for IUP, ILOK and HGU that should be uploaded in Siperibun,” he said.
