PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Until now uncertified palm oil seeds trade still keep going on. If the seeds were cheap to sell, the trade system now changes.
Agus Susanto of Pusat Peneliti Kelapa Sawit (PPKS), palm oil seeds trade is not about economic price but by delivering assumptioin that if palm oil trees get fertilizers they would highly produce.
“The traders deliver assumption, there is no illegal fertilizers. The most important thing is that if the trees are poured by good fertilizers, the seeds would grow and maximally produce,” he said, as Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from Channel Yotube Agus Susanto.

The second, for something unavoidable because many (smallholders) need palm oil seeds in remote areas and no unit selling in the areas.
“One thing for sure palm oil seed producers would not sell theirs online because there is regulation about it,” he said.
Agus even said, the government has to discipline every palm oil seed sellers in many market places/online stores so that the smallholders would be fooled.
The last thing is that uncertified palm oil seed seller imitated the contact of certified producers (on the package uncertified seeds). He also suggested, every smallholder should make sure that the contact from palm oil seed producers should be right (from certified one).
“The smallholders should be aware of purchasing superior seeds. The most important thing is that the producer contact is real (from certified producers),” Agus said. (T2)
