Fostering Palm Oil Partnerships: Perkebunan Partisipatif (PASTI) Facilitates Collaboration Between Smallholders and Stakeholders

PALMOILMAGAZINE, SERDANG BEDAGAI – Andi Nur Alam Syah, the General Director of Plantation at the Ministry of Agriculture, highlighted that Perkebunan Partisipatif (PASTI) embodies the collaborative approach undertaken by the General Directorate of Plantation. The primary aim of this initiative is to foster a robust plantation ecosystem, particularly within the palm oil sector, by forging partnerships between major corporations and smallholders.

He described this effort as an exceptional and remarkable collaboration, characterized by enthusiastic participation. He urged everyone to channel their enthusiasm into fortifying the national palm oil plantation sector. This, he emphasized, would not only enhance competitiveness but also contribute to the overall economic recovery within the country’s palm oil plantation hubs. Meanwhile Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Darma Wijaya Harahap appreciated the visit of Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo to develop palm oil plantations in the district. Smallholders replanting program that has been running since 2017 needs to be developed by having breakthrough programs, particularly the three.

“Plantation sub-sector plays important roles in Serdang Bedagai. The visit of Minister SYL raises our palm oil. There would be agricultural machine tool and would very helpful for the smallholders to advance their cultivation,” Harahap said. (T2)
