PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti conducted a working visit to the Marunda facility of PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk (PT SMART Tbk) in North Jakarta on Monday (January 26), as part of the government’s efforts to deepen its understanding of the palm oil industry’s readiness to meet growing global market demands.
The visit followed Roro’s recent official trip to Pakistan, including Indonesia’s participation in The 8th Pakistan Edible Oil Conference (PEOC) 2026. The forum served as a platform for dialogue with industry players and local stakeholders on opportunities and challenges in the vegetable oil trade.
During the site visit, the Deputy Minister underscored the importance of a comprehensive understanding of palm oil business processes, the implementation of sustainability principles and traceability systems, certification mechanisms, and production standards adopted by companies to serve export markets—particularly Pakistan. According to her, these factors are critical to maintaining the competitiveness of Indonesian palm oil products amid increasingly stringent international market requirements.

As reported by Palmoilmagazine.com, citing the Ministry of Trade’s official Facebook account on Tuesday (February 3, 2026), Roro also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuously improving palm oil export governance. Key measures include simplifying export procedures, strengthening traceability systems, and encouraging the adoption of sustainable business practices throughout the entire supply chain.
Accompanying the Deputy Minister were Director of Industrial and Mining Product Exports Andri Gilang Nugraha, Director of Bilateral Negotiations Danang Prasta Danial, and Director of Primary Product Export Development Miftah Farid.
