PALMOILMAGAZINE, PEKANBARU – Badan Riset Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) and Sub Holding Perkebunan Nusantara, PTPN IV PalmCo, continue their collaboration to advance renewable energy derived from palm oil waste. Following the successful conversion of palm oil liquid waste into biogas in PalmCo Regional III, Riau Province, the focus of research now shifts towards enhancing biogas production through the utilization of empty bunches in the process.
The aim is to achieve better and more stable biogas production by integrating both liquid and solid wastes. If successful, this technology would mark a first within the PTPN group, significantly contributing to environmentally sustainable energy production.
Professor Amarulla Octavian, Vice Head of BRIN, expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort, highlighting its direct impact on increasing biogas production. The focus extends beyond research to the practical application of tested technologies across different regions in Indonesia.
