PALMOILMAGAZINE, ACEH – On Monday, August 19, 2024, Abubakar AR, Chairman of the Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) Aceh Province, visited Seumanah Jaya village in the Ranto Peureulak Subdistrict of East Aceh Regency.
During his visit, he met with Sulaiman, the Treasurer of Kelompok Tani Bela Rakan, who was focused on mapping and planning production strategies for the group’s palm oil plantations, which span about 700 hectares.
Sulaiman expressed his hope that their proposal for assistance through an online infrastructure application would proceed without issues. “We have registered and prepared everything needed for the application. We hope there won’t be any problems, as we are aware of the challenges others have faced with the process,” he said.

Knowing that, Abubakar AR firmly said that there would be no reason to make issue in the infrastructure proposals. “This is a grant that derives from fresh fruit bunch (FFB) process to be crude palm oil and from the exports. The grant is purely for the smallholders, managed by Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA) of Ministry of Finance since 2010,” he said to Palmoilmagazine.com.
The grant should be used for many needs, such as, way construction, procuring agricultural tools, a 6 ton – dump truck to transport FFB production, and constructing a 30 ton – palm oil mill. “SPKS would keep developing the group until the grant would be transferred to the group,” he said.
He also urged General Director of Plantation, Andi Nur Alam Syah; Director of Plantation Product Marketing and Process, Prayudi Syamsuri; and Director of Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA), Eddy Abdurrachman to immediately verify the group’s proposal when theirs got into the online application. He also reminded every plantation agency in the regency and province levels to be seriously processing the proposals within complete terms and conditions. “Do not say much. If the terms and conditions from the group are complete, do field verification immediately,” he said.
He also promised in the next 40 days after the terms and conditions get into online application, he would call directorate of plantations and PO PFMA to get technical recommendation. “Insya Allah, this August, it is said that the Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 3 / 2024 would be revised and signed by the minister himself. The group should propose. This would be the work of SPKS to monitor everything from the region to the central government,” he said.
In his visit, he tried to calm down Sulaiman. “Be calm and get relax. The fund from PO PFMA would be a game or difficult. If any institution would do it, we would report and put (the persons) in jail. Just pray. If everything is complete, Insya Allah, for the next month, the group’s proposal would be signed by Andi Nur Alam Syah, Eddy Abdurrachman, and the group itself,” Abubakar said. (P2)
