PALMOILMAGAZINE, BERLIN – Sabarudin, Chairman of the Palm Oil Farmers Union (SPKS), held a significant meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador to Germany during SPKS’s visit to the German Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil (FONAP), held in Berlin from April 29 to 30, 2025.

FONAP brings together over 50 stakeholders, including businesses, associations, NGOs, and Germany’s Federal Ministries of Agriculture and Economic Cooperation and Development. It serves as a strategic platform for SPKS to strengthen collaboration with key players in Germany’s palm oil supply chain.

Speaking on Friday (May 2, 2025), Sabarudin reaffirmed the commitment of Indonesian smallholder farmers to supporting a sustainable palm oil supply chain for European markets, especially Germany. He also highlighted SPKS’s ongoing engagement in FONAP’s discussions, contributing actively to the dialogue on the future of the palm oil industry.

The meeting was not only a gesture of economic diplomacy but also a concrete step toward enhancing Indonesia–Germany cooperation in promoting globally recognized sustainable palm oil practices.
