PALMOILMAGAZINE, NANJING – China has over 400 members in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), consuming around half a million tons of certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) annually.
Fang Lifeng, Chief of RSPO China, noted significant progress in sustainable palm oil practices, with many leading companies in China actively participating in RSPO membership. This reflects their commitment to sustainability and to enhancing their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
Cao Derong, President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce, and Animal By-Products (CFNA), emphasized that a sustainable food and agriculture system is essential for long-term development. By embracing sustainable practices in palm oil production and sourcing, China aims to position itself as a global leader in the green supply chain.

Zhu Chunxian, Director of QA in Glico, China said that Glico products got RSPO brand in the domestic markets. “We do hope the initiative would inform that it would be significant for the consumers get sustainable products while encouraging sustainable development in the industries,” he said. (P2)
