CPO Prices Rose at KPBN Inacom on Friday (15/5) as Global Vegetable Oil Markets strengthened

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was Rp 12,190/kg on Friday, May 17, 2024, showing an increase of Rp 169/kg or about 1.41%, compared to Thursday, May 16, 2024 which reached Rp 12,021/kg.

Based on information Palmoilmagazine.com obtained from KPBN, the CPO price in Belawan and Dumai reached Rp 12,190/kg, while in Talang Duku it was Rp 11,990/kg, but was withdrawn with the highest price of Rp 11,875/kg.

For the week of May 13–17, 2024, Palmoilmagazine.com noted that the average CPO price at KPBN decreased by around Rp 13.13/kg to Rp 12,105.20/kg or down by around 0.11% compared to the previous week’s average (May 6–10, 2024) of Rp 12,118.33/kg.

Meanwhile, CPO prices on Bursa Derivatives Malaysia increased on Friday, May 17, 2024, and were poised for a weekly increase due to rising prices of other vegetable oils on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).

As quoted from Reuters, CPO reference contract with the code FCPOc3 for August 2024 delivery at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange got increased RM 45 per ton, or about 1,18% to be RM 3.849 (US$ 822,26) per metric ton in the midday. It increased by 1,05% this week.

Soyoil contract price at Dalian with the code DBYcv1 increased increased 1,03%, CPO contract price with the code DCPcv1 increased too 0,93%. Soyoil price at CBOT did increase by 0.11%.

  • Franco Belawan and Dumai: Rp. 12.190-MM, SJIO
  • Talang Duku: Rp. 11.990 (WD) with the highest bid Rp. 11.875-PRISCOLIN. (T2)
