CPO Prices at KPBN Inacom Surged by 1.97% on Thursday (18/9)

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) at the PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom tender was priced at Rp 13,358/kg on Thursday, September 19, 2024. This reflects an increase of Rp 258/kg, or about 1.97%, from Wednesday’s tender price of Rp 13,100/kg on September 18, 2024.

According to KPBN data obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com, CPO Franco prices in both Belawan and Dumai were recorded at Rp 13,358/kg.

As reported by Reuters, CPO contract prices on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange rose on Thursday, September 19, 2024, driven by increased contract prices on the Dalian Exchange and a weakening ringgit, despite crude oil prices continuing to limit gains.

The December 2024 CPO reference contract price at the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange climbed by RM 68 per ton, or about 1.77%, reaching RM 3,913 (US$ 917.47) per metric ton by the evening.

CPO contract price got escalated because there were predictions that the exports got more and vegetable oil got more expensive. Contract price got escalated 3% in the previous session, the biggest increasing session since on 24 July 2023.

Still from Reuters, soyoil contract price at Dalian got escalated 0,82%, CPO contract price did too 2,33%. Soyoil price at Chicago Board of Trade got decreased 0,15%. (P2)
