West Sumatra’s FFB price for 10–20-year-old oil palms fell IDR 20.33/kg to IDR 3,966.94/kg for Oct. 1–7, 2026, based on a CPO price of IDR 15,554.38/kg and a K index of 94.34%.
PALMOILMAGAZINE, PADANG — The fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for oil palm smallholders in West Sumatra Province fell IDR 20.33/kg, or 0.51%, to IDR 3,966.94/kg for 10–20-year-old palms during the first week of October 2026.
The price applies to the Oct. 1–7, 2026 period and was determined by the West Sumatra Provincial Oil Palm FFB Price-Setting Team at a meeting on Friday (Oct. 2).
The meeting was held at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Rasuna Said No. 77, Padang. The decision was documented in an official report issued by the West Sumatra Provincial Food Crops and Horticulture Plantation Service.
According to the price-setting report, FFB prices were determined according to oil palm age, using a K index of 94.34%. The calculation covers palms ranging from three to 25 years old.

West Sumatra CPO Price Set at IDR 15,554.38/kg
The CPO price used in the FFB pricing formula for the first week of October was set at IDR 15,554.38/kg.
The palm kernel price was set at IDR 13,124.34/kg, while the shell value used in the calculation was IDR 15.63/kg.
With these components and the 94.34% K index, the provincial FFB price was calculated according to the applicable yield assumptions for each oil palm age group.
The resulting prices serve as the reference for FFB purchases from oil palm smallholders in West Sumatra during the Oct. 1–7 period. (P3)
