PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – In compliance with President’s Decision Number 9 / 2023, which focuses on enhancing the palm oil industry and optimizing government revenue, it is imperative for both stakeholders and smallholders to provide reports on their plantations and permits.

“Every company should report every information through the website – Siperbun since 3 July to 3 August 2023. Unions and smallholders would get parallel information, would get socialization about self – reporting,” Coordinator Minister in Maritime and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said in a press conference in Jakarta Pusat, Friday (12/6/2023).

There would be sanction from the government and punishment if the stakeholders do not obey the regulation.

He himself told that the government has satellite image and drone as the tools but the planters should report theirs independently.

“I hope by the taskforce, every stakeholder, smallholder, unions would be discipline and deliver the true data and report their condition. The government would firmly take action if they ignore the government’s regulation to improve palm oil plantation governance,” Pandjaitan said. (T2)
