PALMOILMAGAZINE, BOGOR – President Prabowo Subianto held a closed-door meeting with several key ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Friday (January 31, 2025). The meeting, which took place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, was attended by prominent figures such as Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol.
Also present were Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto. However, most ministers declined to comment to the media after the meeting.
Minister Nusron Wahid shared that one of the key topics discussed was the issue of using forest land for oil palm plantations. “The issue of palm oil in forest land, palm oil plantations in forest areas,” he said to the press. He also mentioned that the meeting covered the Forest Area Task Force, though it did not delve into discussions regarding the sea fence issue, which has been widely debated.
Nusron conveyed that President Prabowo emphasized the importance of reclaiming state assets currently controlled by other parties. “Return and regain control of state assets that are controlled by others,” said Nusron, citing the direction given by President Prabowo to the ministers. (P2)
