PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – During the coordination meeting on the National Action Plan for Sustainable Palm Oil (RAN – KSB) held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Coordinator Minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, highlighted the progress of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate issuance following the president’s directive regarding RAN KSB. A total of 883 companies and 52 unions/groups have now acquired this certification.
Airlangga also addressed the issue of palm oil plantations in forested areas, emphasizing the need for a solution in alignment with the provisions of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation. According to an official statement provided to Palmoilmagazine.com he outlined initiatives for smallholders, including doubling the allocation of funds for the Smallholders Replanting Program (SRP) from Rp 30 million to Rp 60 million per hectare.
Furthermore, he announced streamlined terms and conditions for SRP proposals, reducing them from 6 to 3, along with simplified verification processes.
The meeting was attended by various stakeholders, including the head of the Geospatial Information Agency, directors from ministries such as Regional Development, Agrarian Affairs and Spatial/National Land Agency, Agriculture, and Environment and Forestry.
