PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Andi Nur Alam Syah, the General Director of the Plantation Ministry of Agriculture, expressed concern over the lack of clear integrated cooperation between the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) and the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP).
He emphatically stressed that the infrastructure procurement for the Smallholders Replanting Program (SRP) must utilize the e-E – catalogue instead of opting for an auction, as the latter would consume significant time.
During a coordination meeting held in the auditorium of the Ministry of Agriculture on Friday (1/12/2023), he warned, “If the procurement goes through an auction, it won’t be completed by next year. It will be delayed,” said Andi Nur as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com.

Andi thought that the lack coordination among General Directorate of Plantation, PFMA, and LKPP made infrastructures for smallholders late to be distributed. He questioned about technical recommendation which was not realized since 2022, the slow distribution of fertilizer and production infrastructures.
Andi thought everything would be useless if only getting technical recommendation without having distribution management well. He emphasized that it is urgent to get integrated technical recommendation between PFMA and his directorate because everything is crucial to keep palm oil plantation productivity remaining high in this country.
