PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Recently, the government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, announced a significant increase in funding for the Smallholders Replanting Program (SRP), supported by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA).
The SRP funding has been raised from Rp 30 million per hectare to Rp 60 million per hectare.
This decision was officially formalized in Director of PO PFMA Decree Number Kep-252/Dpks/2024, outlining the new SRP funding amounts. According to a regulation noted by Palmoilmagazine.com on Friday (13/9/2024), the adjustment follows discussions by the PO PFMA Steering Committee, as reported by the Expert Staff in Natural Resource and Service Development Connectivity on 29 July and 5 August 2024.

“The numbers of SRP fund would be Rp 60 million per hectare,” the regulation noted. It would be available since on 1 September 2024. This would be the good news because SRP would be significant to maintain plantation productivity and increase the smallholders’ welfare.
The government hoped that SRP would be more effective and sustainable, support economic development and increase palm oil competition of Indonesia in the global level sustainably. (P2)
