East Kalimantan FFB Price Rises to IDR 3,604.66 per Kg in August 2026

PALMOILMAGAZINE, SAMARINDA — Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm in East Kalimantan increased again during the second half of August 2026, covering the period from August 16–31.

The East Kalimantan Plantation Agency set the FFB price for oil palms aged 10–20 years at IDR 3,604.66 per kilogram, up IDR 42.97 per kg, or 1.21%, from IDR 3,561.69 per kg in the previous period.

The price applies to smallholders participating in partnership schemes and is based on the FFB price schedule published by the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency.

According to data compiled by PalmOilMagazine, the FFB price for three-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,165.26 per kg. Prices for four-, five-, six-, seven- and eight-year-old palms were set at IDR 3,266.12, IDR 3,356.49, IDR 3,430.06, IDR 3,479.56 and IDR 3,535.37 per kg, respectively.

For nine-year-old palms, the FFB price was set at IDR 3,579.06 per kg. The highest price in the second-half August schedule was recorded for palms aged 10–20 years at IDR 3,604.66 per kg.

For older palms, the price was set at IDR 3,552.31 per kg for 21-year-old palms, IDR 3,480.91 for 22-year-old palms, IDR 3,403.84 for 23-year-old palms, IDR 3,365.39 for 24-year-old palms and IDR 3,333.81 per kg for 25-year-old palms.

CPO and Palm Kernel Prices Also Rise

The increase in East Kalimantan’s FFB prices was supported by higher weighted-average prices for palm oil products during the period.

The weighted-average price of crude palm oil (CPO) was set at IDR 15,434.53 per kg, up IDR 203.98 per kg from the previous period.

Meanwhile, the weighted-average price of palm kernel rose to IDR 13,598.85 per kg, an increase of IDR 77.37 per kg.

The higher CPO and palm kernel prices were among the factors reflected in the East Kalimantan government’s FFB price determination for the second half of August 2026. (P3)
