PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The Cabinet Secretariat conducted an online Diskusi Kelompok Terpumpun (DKT) centered on the Imperatives of Sustainability as outlined in President’s Instruction Number 6/2019 regarding the National Action Plan for Sustainable Palm Oil (RAN KSB) from 2019 to 2024, held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Satya Bhakti Parikesit, Deputy in Economy at the Cabinet Secretariat, led the discussion, stressing the necessity of addressing the solutions outlined in RAN KSB and formulating a plan for the forthcoming period. Bhakti highlighted that while the implementation of RAN KSB is slated to conclude in November 2024, it remains imperfect and requires further enhancements.
Thus, it is crucial to engage other stakeholders in strategizing and fostering commitment to ensure that every challenge is addressed by the program’s conclusion. Additionally, Bhakti underscored the importance of extending RAN KSB into the next phase.

The discussion which was the first series from Cabinet Secretary successfully got many inputs from many speakers, such as, Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP), Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional (Bappenas), and implementation teams of Rencana Aksi Daerah Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAD KSB) in North Sumatera. In the chance, the institution also extracted some strategic things, including the roles of RAN KSB as orchestra of palm oil policies in national scale that involved many sectors and parties out of the government.
As Palmoilmagazine.com quoted from the official page of Cabiner Secretary of Indonesia, Friday (23/2/2024), Bhakti also emphasized it needs to get input from other stakeholders to formulate policies about palm oil plantations. He took many ministries/institutions to propose programs about RAN KSB to be written and formulated into Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2025-2029, and also become the reference to formulate annual development program in central and regional levels.
It was joined by some speakers, such as, head of Plantation Agency Riau Province, Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) acceleration and program director of Yayasan Madani Berkelanjutan. (T2)
